Canon EOS C100 Digital Video Camera Firmware 1.0.1.1.00

Fixes: - A function has been added which allows automatic continuous focusing and iris setting on a subject in the center of the screen when using the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens. - The polarity balance of the XLR terminal has been modified to improve compatibility with external audio devices. The pin configuration has been modified to be consistent with the Instruction Manual. Firmware Version 1.0.1.1.00 is for EOS C100 cameras with Firmware Version 1.0.0.1.00. If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.0.1.1.00, it is not necessary to update the firmware. Once the camera is updated to the latest version, it cannot be restored to a previous version. Preparations for the Firmware Update: - If you perform the update, the menu settings and Custom Picture settings will be reset. Accordingly, it is recommended that, prior to performing the update, you save your menu settings and Custom Picture settings to an SD memory card which is different from the one used for the firmware update. After the firmware update, load the saved settings data back to the camcorder. For details, please see the "Saving and Loading Camera Settings" section of the Instruction Manual for these models. - The downloaded folder contains the firmware (file name: VIF1.FIM / file size: 35,066,896bytes), and instructions on the firmware update procedures (a PDF file in five languages: Japanese, English, French, Spanish and Simplified Chinese). Before starting the firmware update operations, please be sure to carefully confirm your understanding of these instructions. Note: - Focus can now be continuously held on the subject when the exchangeable lens [EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM] is attached and the focus mode switch is set to AF. In addition, the iris can now stay continuously set. - The polarity balance of the XLR terminal has been modified to improve compatibility with external audio devices. The pin configuration has been modified to be consistent with the Instruction Manual. Before the Firmware update the pin configuration for the XLR jack was (pin1: shield, pin2: cold, pin3: hot). After the Firmware update the pin configuration for the XLR jack will be (pin1: shield, pin2: hot, pin3: cold). The XLR pin configuration meets the international AES standard recommendation. The firmware update will avoid the scenario where the unit if used in combination with a device of differing polarity of the XLR terminals, would result in weakened sound levels due to a reversal of the phase relationship.
